Farewell to outgoing Board members (If you have any agenda items for the meeting, please contact Lynn Pierle at ptpickleball@gmail.com) Social - enjoy good food, make new friends, share your pickleball stories, raffle for fun prizes PTPC Board Elections The following candidates have been nominated by the Club Nominations Committee to serve on the Board from 2022-2024: Vice President - Jim MaupinOther than work, Jim spent most of his life on and in the water and playing tennis until he discovered pickleball a few years ago in PT. He loves the physical, social and friendly competitive aspects of the game, and wants contribute to keeping it strong and growing in PT. Recently, Jim helped coordinate the pickleball program at the Y and instructed new players. Treasurer - Kirk Rowdabaugh Kirk Rowdabaugh is a retired forester who learned the game of pickleball while living in Virginia in 2012. Kirk moved to Port Townsend with his wife Patti in 2016 and quickly located the few other pickleball players in town. An active volunteer for the Club since its founding, Kirk believes the Club’s success depends on the active participation of its members and is looking forward to working with the Board and its new bookkeeper to ensure the Club’s financial records meet the requirements for future solicitations of grants and large donor contributions. Communications Director - Mark Finco Mark Finco is a new Port Townsend resident and new to pickleball! He worked for 25 years as a contractor to the US Forest Service, doing mapping work that utilized satellite images, aerial photographs, and other ways of remotely viewing the landscape. Also, as one of the owners of his company, he was involved with business development and proposal writing. Now that his work responsibilities are waning, he's looking forward to playing a lot more, traveling a little more, and contributing to the community however he can. He welcomes the opportunity to serve on the Board. Facilities Director - Eric Seder Eric and his wife Susan moved to Port Townsend in 2019 from Sun Valley, ID, where they owned their own business. Both are avid pickleball players. Eric has served on the PTPC Board for the past two years, as Member-at-Large and Facilities Director. He has graciously volunteered to serve for another two-year term. Eric has been an advisor to the County on behalf of the PTPC and was instrumental in the Club's success in negotiations with the City to secure the site at Mountain View for permanent pickleball courts. Membership Director - still need a volunteer Keeps membership records, including the roster and dues records; sends renewal notices on expiring memberships; develops the Code of Conduct/Etiquette policy and is the point person for member issues; works closely with the Treasurer and Director of Communications; and strives to increase membership. Oversees the Membership Committee. Must have knowledge of spreadsheet apps, preferably Excel. Voting will be online, from Sunday, June 26, beginning at 7:00 am. A link to the ballot will be sent to all current members. Voting will close on Wednesday, June 29, at 5:00 pm. Results will be announced shortly thereafter. Members sharing one email are allowed one ballot per member in the household.
