MEMBERS: PTPC NEEDS YOU!
The club has several volunteer opportunities as we ramp up our activities. Here are three specific areas where we need help:
Fundraising Committee. This standing committee will replace the former Merchandise Committee. The committee will come up with ideas for on-going fundraising projects to support the Port Townsend Pickleball Club. This committee may at times be coordinating with the Events Committee or other club committees. (This is not a capital campaign committee. See below.) The funds raised here will go toward supporting the on-going club expenses and projects. If you are interested, please contact Stan Jonasson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Capital Campaign Committee. As the prospect of acquiring a site for permanent pickleball courts becomes more of a possibility, the Club needs to form an ad hoc committee for raising the funds to pay for the courts. This committee needs someone who has had experience on capital campaigns, has good organization skills, and/or is simply passionate about seeing this project accomplished. PTPC Membership Dues were due on June 30. If you have not renewed your membership or paid your dues, please do so ASAP.
Dues are $40 per year. You can pay with Paypal on our website, or send a check to PTPC, P.O. Box 440, Port Townsend, WA 98368. Reminder that you have to fill out the membership form for either type of payment. Thank you!
Save the Date
PTPC will host its Annual Meeting/Party on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, 4:00 pm. The meeting will be held at the Cape George Colony Clubhouse. More details to follow in the July newsletter.
