Hello Picklers, This is such a weird year. Thank heavens for pickleball. It is the greatest sport to play during these Covid days. We are so fortunate to participate in a game that is safe, social and a whole bunch of fun. As you know from our last Blast, we are still in negotiations with the YMCA about starting play indoors. In the meantime, Washington state is now under lockdown restrictions that prohibit any indoor fitness activities until Dec. 14th and possibly longer. Our PTPC board will continue to try to get us in the gym as soon as possible. As with everything this year, we need to be patient. I want to take this opportunity to give a big thank you to Tai Sheridan who created our website and managed it for over a year. He has now given over the webmaster duties to Kim Anderson who is a board member and chair of our communications committee. When Tai created our website, he was an experienced webmaster who had the challenge of working with board members that had very little web technical experience. It was challenging for him to try to educate our group with what the elements of a website should include. We applaud him for sticking with us and not getting too discouraged as the board slowly tried to organize the website priorities. Thank you, Tai. When you see him on the court, be sure to let him know that you appreciate all the hours that he volunteered to create a professional site for PTPC. I am hoping for sunshine and no wind for the rest of the winter months. We can hope. Pickleball Tip of the month- Just keep the ball in play. Stay safe and healthy. MarySqueegee And Water Roller Squeegee And Water RollerWater Given that we have entered the rainy season, we have decided to order a squeegee and water roller for the high school courts. We will test this equipment first at the high school and if desired then order the same items for Mountain View. A FRIENDLY REMINDER Meet Club Member Stan Jonasson. You will see him walking around the high school pickleball courts picking up litter. Let's make sure before leaving the pickleball premises that we double check to see if we have left any trash behind. And when you see Stan out on the courts, please thank him for taking the time to pick up after us. Thank you.
