Port Townsend High School Courts

  • When: 9-10am to 12noon-1pm (times vary by season/weather)

  • Who: All skill levels welcome

  • Open to: Everyone, including non-members

  • How to Join: Sign up on Playtime Scheduler or just drop in

  • How it works:  On all 4 courts players will play to 9; winners stay and split; 2 new players come in

  • Why Come: Perfect way to meet the Port Townsend pickleball community in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere

Open Play

Port Townsend High School Courts

  • When: Tuesday and Thursday, 9am to 11am (times may vary by season/weather/host availablity)

  • Who: PTPC members rated Advanced Beginners, 2.5 and up. 

  • How to Join: Sign up on Playtime Scheduler or just drop in

  • How it works:  Place your paddle on the board in the order that you arrived, starting on the left. 

  • Courts 1, 2 and 3 are open play courts.

  • Court No. 4 is the challenge court.  Winners can stay and keep playing

Intermediate Round Robin

Port Townsend High School Courts

  • When: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

    • Summer: 9am-11am

    • Winter: 10am-12noon

    • Note: Monday sessions may shift to Tuesday in spring for high school team schedule

  • Who: 3.0-3.5 skill level players

  • Members Only: PTPC membership required

  • Registration: Playtime Scheduler (20 spots available with 8 spots on the waiting list)

  • Why Join: Supportive group focused on skill development and friendly competition

Beginner Lessons

Courthouse Courts

PTPC is offering Beginner Lessons on the first Saturday of every month, starting in May (except July).  Everyone is welcome to this event.  This is a great introduction to a fantastic sport!  If you know people that are new to the sport, please encourage them to attend.

 

  • May 2, June 6, July 11 (due to July 4th Weekend), August 1, and September 5, 9:30-11:30 am

  • You don’t have to sign up, just show up!
     

Tournament Prep Clinics

Port Townsend High School Courts

 

​PTPC is hosting Cheryl Hollatz (text 503.515.7798) and her team's Tournament Preparation Clinics for upper beginner to intermediate players (2.75 to 3.49).  The objective is to create a safe place for PTPC members to learn about and experience what it is like to play in a pickleball tournament. This is a free clinic for PTPC members only.

  • May 10 & May 17, 2026.  1:00-3:00 pm, PT High School courts.

    • The 2 PREP CLINICS will offer the same material. Individuals are welcome to come to one or both. 

    • PRACTICE MINI-TOURNAMENT - June 14, 2026.  1:00-3:00 pm, PT High School courts.  (open only to individuals who attended at least 1 of the PREP CLINIC sessions)

  • Signup will be via Playtime Scheduler beginning 27 April 

MiLP Tournament

Mountain View Courts

​The Pickleball Club will be hosting its first Minor League Pickleball Tournament in July.  This is a super-fun event where teams of four players (two men, two women) play one Women’s Doubles, one Men’s Doubles and two Mixed Doubles games per round in a round robin format with rally scoring.  We will have Intermediate and Advanced brackets, and players can choose their own teams.  Tournament cost will be $10/person for Club members and $20/person for non-members.  

 

More details about the tournament will be posted in the Events Calendar on the Club website.  We encourage participants to pay in advance using the website Events Calendar.  

 

Signup will be via Playtime Scheduler beginning on Monday, 8 June.  

Selkirk Ambassador Intermediate & Advanced Clinics

Mountain View or Port Townsend High School Courts

​Doug Hastings, a 5.0 IPTPA Certified Instructor will be holding Intermediate and Advanced Clinics at the Mountain View or PT High School Courts (depending upon how many register).  

 

We will offer Clinics on two different weekends to cater to as many players as possible.  Cost is $55 per person, per session.  We will post signup on Playtime Scheduler beginning Monday, 8 June.
