Last weekend, Port Townsend Pickleball Club’s, John (Gilly) Gilmore and Kirstin Frederickson won all their Round Robin games in the Bremerton Blackberry Blast’s Mixed Doubles Skill: (4.0 and 4.5) Age: (35 To 49) (50 to 65) (65+). They took the Gold medal in the 50 to 65 age category. Gilly and his brother, Gerald Gilmore, took Gold in Men’s Doubles, Age 65+, 4.0. If you see Gilly or Kirstin, please congratulate them on their awesome performance!

The final PTPC Social Round Robin is coming up! On 14 September from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, we play the Mortimer format, where there are three players on each team. The third player must stay behind a blue tape line placed six feet inside the baseline and plays deep balls that are hot in that area. When either front player makes an error, they become the Mortimer. This is a very fun format where all levels of players can join in the hilarity.

Congrats to Gilly & Kirstin on their golds—amazing to see such skill and fun in mixed doubles! says – Founder of Strokess
