Selkirk Ambassador Clinics
Doug Hastings, 5.0 IPTPA Certified Instructor, conducted Intermediate and Advanced Clinics on Sunday, 28 June. Participants really enjoyed the sessions and learned several new skills and drills. Doug will offer additional Intermediate and Advanced Clinics on Sunday, 26 July. Sign up on the PTPC website at https://www.ptpickleball.com/events.
Tournaments
MiLP Tournament Saturday-Sunday, 11-12 July
The Port Townsend Pickleball Club will its first Minor League Pickleball Tournament at the Mountain View courts. Teams comprised of 4 players, 2 men and 2 women will compete. The intermediate teams will play on Saturday and the advanced teams will play on Sunday. Signup is through Playtime Scheduler, and the deadline for entry is Sunday, 5 July.
Heidi Lappetito Memorial Advanced Tournament (3.75-4.25) Saturday-Sunday, 15-16 August
The Club will host this advanced tournament at the Mountain View courts with Men’s and Women’s Doubles matches on Saturday and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Players can sign up through Playtime Scheduler, starting 15 July.
Intermediate Level Tournament (3.0-3.5) Saturday-Sunday, 5-6 September
The club will have an intermediate tournament at the Mountain View courts with Men’s and Women’s Doubles matches on Saturday and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Signup is through Playtime Scheduler, starting 5 August.

Congratulations to the following Club members!
Heidi Poley and Sheri Hanke took Gold in the 3.5-4.0, Age 60+ bracket in the Bellingham Orca Classic tournament on Saturday, June 14th
Cheryl Hollatz and her partner Lura Lee took Gold in the 3.5-4.0, Age 60+ bracket in in the 5th Annual Beaverton Bash in Beaverton, Oregon on Saturday, June 27th.
In the Bremerton Blackberry Blast Tournament, John (Gilley) Gilmore and Steve Smolinski took Gold in the 4.0-4.5, Age 65+ bracket on Friday, June 27th and Sharlene Shiroma and Steve Smolinski took Silver in the 3.5-4.0 , Age 60+ bracket on Saturday, June 28th.

Membership Dues
We increased our membership dues to $45 per year. Because the website prohibits a change to existing subscriptions (legally, members agreed to $40/year when they registered last year). Our Communications Director will be cancelling existing subscriptions around a week before Members’ subscriptions are slated to renew. Look for emails from info@ptpickleball.com for details and instructions.
