PTPC Members Performance at Blue Hole Bash

We had several club members face tough competition in the Sequim Picklers’ Blue Hole Bash last weekend.  Here’s a summary of our medal winners:

• Timothy Williams  (who is also the Sequim Picklers’ President) and Steven Reeves took BRONZE in Men’s Doubles Skill: (3.5) Age: (5 To 59)

• Steven Smolinski and Steven Stratton took SILVER in Men’s Doubles Skill: (3.5) Age: (60 and above)

• Timothy Williams took BRONZE in Men's Singles (full-court) Skill: (3.5)

• Char Reeves and her Sequim Picklers’ partner, Diane Froula, took BRONZE in Women’s Doubles Skill: (3.5) Age: (All)

• Libby Hartmen and her Sequim Picklers’ partner, Wendy Ahearn, took SILVER in Women’s Doubles Skill: (4.0 And Above) Age: (Any)

• Mary Critchlow and Sharlene Shiroma, took BRONZE in Women’s Doubles Skill: (4.0 And Above) Age: (Any)

• Libby Hartman took GOLD in Women’s Singles (full-court) ALL

• Sherry Gyovai and Rodney Diseker took BRONZE in Mixed Doubles Skill: (3.5) Age: (50 To 59)

• Char and Steven Reeves took SILVER in Mixed Doubles Skill: (3.5) Age: (60 and above)

• Libby Hartman and her brother, Robert Hartman, took BRONZE in Mixed Doubles Skill: (4.0 and Above)

Memorial Social Saturday Honoring Stan Jonasson

Sadly, Stan Jonasson, a long-time member of our Pickleball community, died in his home on Sunday,13 September.  Stan was a true pickleball ambassador, always looking at new innovations to make pickleball acceptable for the entire community (he really liked the quiet paddles and balls).  On Saturday, 11 October the PTPC will sponsor a special Social Saturday.  We invite you to gather and play to honor Stan Jonasson, long time host of Social Saturday.  To honor Stan’s passion for quiet pickleball, we will play with quiet balls.  All levels are welcome to play.
