Upcoming PTPC Events
The Pickleball Experience: Saturday-Sunday, 23-24 August
This is a fully customizable clinic run by three professional instructors. Sessions are divided into Intermediate Level 2.8-3.4, and Advanced Level 3.5-4.0+. The clinic has two 3 ½ hour sessions, one Saturday and one Sunday for each Level, for a total of 7 hours of instruction. This is a great way to learn new drills and strategies and improve your game overall. Student to Instructor ratio is 6:1. The cost of the Clinic is $275.

Beginner Lessons: Saturday, 13 September
PTPC volunteers (thank you, wonderful people) will be offering Beginner Lessons at the Courthouse Courts from 9-11AM. Sign up on Playtime Scheduler begins on 1 September or just show up!
Round Robin Social: Sunday 14 September
PTPC’s third Round Robin Social will take place at the High School courts from 1PM to 4PM. We will play using the Mortimer format, like the first Round Robin social, where there are three players on each team. The first two players play as normal, while the third player must stay behind a blue tape line placed six feet inside the baseline and plays deep balls in that area. When either front player makes an error, they become the Mortimer. This is a very fun format where all levels of players can join in the hilarity. Signup will be via Playtime Scheduler, beginning on Monday, 1 September.
Are you interested in your Pickleball rating?
From Kendal Wake, of the Sequim Pickleball Club:
I have recently become a certified pickleball coaching international rater. I am offering ratings for a $20 fee. The evaluation process takes about half an hour and includes assessment based on drives to the baseline, approach shots to the net, overheads, serves, volleys, and dinks. Scoring is primarily based on consistency.
I will also record the session and send you a copy. Once you receive the score sheet, you can compare these results with the video. Additionally, I will provide suggestions for improvement. The video and score sheet can serve as tools for practice or for working with a coach to enhance your game. After a couple of months of practice, we can reevaluate your rating. If you're interested in setting up a session, please text me at (360)461- 5517.
