PTPC Modified MiLP Tournament Results

Port Townsend hosted its first Modified MiLP tournament this weekend, with 5 Intermediate and 4 Advanced teams competing on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.  The Mountain View Courts were the setting for teams of 2 women and 2 men playing four games per match (Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, and two Mixed Doubles).   

For the Intermediate Tournament, the results were as follows:

• Gold to the Volley Llamas: Rick Gauthreaux, Patty Dunmire, Gordy Iwata & Young Rowland

• Silver to the Kitchen Dinkers: Char Sherwood, Bill Beezley, Makiko Guji & Bill Ferguson

• Bronze to the Third Shot Dropouts:  Jessica Pollack, Wayne Shaffer, Shea Butler & David Martz

For the Advanced Tournament, the results were as follows:

• Gold to the Olympic Peninsula Mad Drops: Kristin Deverin, Alex Sprenger, Shannon Thaxton & Louis Crabb

• Silver to the Young & the Restless: Young Rowland, Gary Rieger, Gordon Burke & Bill (a.k.a. Billie Ann) Ferguson

• Bronze to Too Hot for the Kitchen:  Steve Smolinski, Shar Shiroma, Mary Critchlow & Keith Hitchcock

Our spectators were fabulous, cheering the teams.  Many stayed for all the action on both days.  A huge thanks goes out to our team of volunteers:

PTPC will host a The Heidi Lappetito Memorial Advanced Tournament on 15-16 August at the Mountain View Courts. 

• Saturday Morning:  Women’s Doubles

• Saturday Afternoon:  Men’s Doubles

• Sunday:  Mixed Doubles
